Powerful 6.3 Magnitude Earthquake Rocks Northeast Taiwan

In a seismic event reported on Monday, a major earthquake measuring 6.3 on the Richter scale struck the northeastern region of Taiwan, confirmed by the German Research Center for Geosciences (GFZ). According to the GFZ, this powerful geological event occurred at a considerable depth of 171 kilometers (106.25 mi).

The epicenter of the earthquake was precisely located by the United States Geological Survey (USGS) at the latitude of 26.434°N and longitude of 125.303°E. Despite the intensity of the earthquake and its depth, there have been no reports of any casualties or major damage so far, bringing a sigh of relief to the affected area.

Authorities and seismologists are closely monitoring the situation, emphasizing the importance of preparedness and vigilance in earthquake-prone areas like Taiwan.
