Manipur Violence Triggers No-Confidence Vote Against Ruling Govt., Protest and rallies organized in different parts of Manipur.

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla today acknowledged a no-confidence resolution brought by the Congress on behalf of the opposition coalition. Mr. Birla stated that the leaders of all parties will be consulted before choosing a date for the motion’s consideration.

On Thursday, MPs from the opposition’s All India Alliance plan to wear black in Parliament as a protest against the government’s handling of the Manipur issue. As pointed out by a lawmaker from the opposition coalition, the protest focuses on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s failure so far to address the matter in Parliament.
