Communal Violence in Haryana; Nuh City under Curfew, Delhi Police on alert

At least four persons were murdered; Violence broke out in Nuh during the “Braj Mandal Jalabhishek Yatra” organized by Bajrang Dal and VHP.

At least four people, including two house guards, were killed in stone-pelting and violence in Nuh and Gurgaon. According to police, prohibitory orders under Section 144 have been imposed in all districts to prevent people from gathering.

Delhi Police on High Alert

After communal violence broke out in Gurgaon, Nuh and other parts of Haryana on Monday, police in Delhi and Faridabad beefed up security in sensitive areas on Tuesday. The Delhi Police was asked to be alert and prevent any trouble. Meanwhile, in Faridabad, It has deployed 4,000 police personnel to ensure the safety of the people.

The Clash

The clash broke out in Nuh during a religious procession called ‘Braj Mandal Jalabhishek Yatra‘ organized by Bajrang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP). In the violence, two home guards named Neeraj and Gursevak posted at Kherki Daula police station in Gurgaon lost their lives.

In addition, according to police reports, a mosque in Gurgaon was torched and the deputy imam murdered in the early hours of Tuesday, allegedly by a group of 70-80 persons.
