Chandrayaan Update: Spacecraft Escapes Earth’s Gravitational Clutches

It’s exciting news for space enthusiasts as the Chandrayaan spacecraft has successfully escaped the Earth’s gravitational clutches. This marks an important milestone in India’s ambitious space program. The spacecraft is now on its way to the moon, where it will conduct various scientific experiments and collect data that will aid in our understanding of the lunar surface.

According to ISRO, it is set to reach the Moon on August 5, 2023, and they plan to perform Lunar-Orbit Insertion (LOI) then.

The mission objectives of Chandrayaan-3 are:

  2. To demonstrate Rover roving on the moon and
  3. To conduct in-situ scientific experiments.
