Bajrang Dal and VHP Unite in Powerful Protest Against Haryana Violence

On Wednesday, the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) and its youth wing, Bajrang Dal staged rallies across the nation in opposition to the violence in Haryana during a religious procession.

Today, members of the Bajrang Dal and Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) organized protest rallies in various areas of Delhi, expressing their concern about the communal violence in Haryana’s Nuh. They blocked the National Highway at the Badarpur border as part of their protest. However, Delhi Police officials mentioned that permission for the rally was not obtained by the groups.

The Supreme Court was hearing a request by Hindu groups to stop the protests. The court directed the authorities to ensure that no hate speech targeting any community is made during the rallies. He also asked to prevent violence or damage to property and to use additional police force where necessary.

The Clash

Six people have died in the recent communal violence in the state. One of the victims was Pradeep Sharma, a Bajrang Dal worker, who succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday. The violence started during a religious procession called “Brajmandal Jalabhishek Yatra” organized by Bajrang Dal and VHP in Nuh on Monday.

The situation worsened and violence spread to Gurugram on Tuesday, where Naib Imam of Anjuman Jama Masjid Mohammad Saad lost his life. The mob allegedly stabbed him and also set fire to the mosque.
